Right... I have been asked to organise another restaurant get-together, so this time we shall go to a Chinese restaurant.

Day: Saturday March 21st - PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE*
Time: 1900
Place: Dong Bei Hu, Museokatu 29
http://www.dongbeihu.fi

If anybody has had a bad experience at the chosen restaurant or knows of a better place, then please let me know.

* Date changed because it clashes with Helsinki's St Patrick's Day celebrations.

That's embarrassing, must say I have never been in there at lunchtime for the buffet.
I've only ever been in the evenings and thought the food was excellent (by finnish standards)!

Not sure its the same one. The one I'm talking about is pretty big and its on the 1st floor (or 2nd if you're a Finn) near those other food places.

By the way Daive I've now been to the Tang Dynasty for the lunch buffet a couple of times and its a different restaurant. The dodgy one I went to ages ago was actually inside the Kamppi shopping centre upstairs.

Shocking-ly good I thought for Finnish standards! It must have been a bad day or different lunch chef, I've never had a bad experience yet there and always full of chinese pps.

The reviews on eat.fi are quite mixed, generally quite good but a couple of bad ones http://eat.fi/helsinki/empire-plaza maybe its not always the same chef?
Very strange indeed. I will go again and let you know if it has gone crappy!
